VALUATION OF LOST PRODUCTIVITY

A questionnaire to measure and value the impact of health conditions on productivity

The VOLP (Valuation of Lost Productivity) is a new, composite questionnaire that can be used to assess the impact of health conditions on lost productivity in monetary units.

It includes measurements of absenteeism, presenteeism and non work activities [labour input]. It also includes questions on job and workplace characteristics to enable the calculation of a multiplier to adjust wage to represent the value of productivty loss [workplace output].

The VOLP questionnaire contains a series of questions that both measure productivity loss, and then enable you to value the productivity losses in monetary terms. It differs from other productivity questionnaires in so much that it is primarily focused on valuation, from the human capital perspective.

The validity and reliability of the VOLP have been tested, and we are constantly looking to improve it.

If you would like to use the VOLP, please email us. The VOLP is currently available as a baseline and followup (shorter) questionnaire in 12 languages.
