A number of future studies are planned.

Currently these are:

1. Explore the responsiveness of the instrument
2. Further disentangle the components of presenteeism that are related to paid productivity loss, and which are related to quality of life
3. The external validity of estimates by comparing worker and employers valuations of productivity loss
